The NAACP Image Award is an annual awards ceremony presented by the U.S.-based National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to honor outstanding African Americans[citation needed] in film, television, music, and literature.[1] Similar to other awards, like the Oscars and the Grammys, the over 40 categories of the Image Awards are voted on by the award organization's members (in this case, NAACP members). Honorary awards (similar to the Academy Honorary Award) have also been included, such as the President's Award, the Chairman's Award, the Entertainer of the Year, and the Hall of Fame Award.

The Voice is an American singing competition television series broadcast on NBC. It premiered during the spring television cycle on April 26, 2011, and expanded into the fall cycle with the premiere of the third season on September 10, 2012. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, it has aired fifteen seasons and aims to find currently unsigned singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, age 13 or over, drawn from public auditions.

Shark Tank is an American business-related reality television series on ABC that premiered on August 9, 2009.[1] The show is the American franchise of the international format Dragons' Den, which originated in Japan in 2001.[2] It shows aspiring entrepreneurs as they make business presentations to a panel of five investors or "sharks", who then choose whether to invest in their company as business partners.
The series has been a ratings success in its time slot and has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program four times (2014 through 2017), in all four years of that category's existence. Prior to that (2012 to 2013), it won Outstanding Reality Program.[3]

RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition television series produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV and, beginning with the ninth season, VH1. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar."[1] RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. RuPaul's Drag Race employs a panel of judges, including RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews, Carson Kressley, and a host of other guest judges, who critique contestants' progress throughout the competition. The title of the show is a play on drag queen and drag racing, and the title sequence and song "Drag Race" both have a drag-racing theme.

Lip Sync Battle is an American musical reality competition television series which premiered on April 2, 2015, on Paramount Network, formerly known as Spike. The show is based on an idea by Stephen Merchant and John Krasinski, in which celebrities battle each other with lip sync performances. The idea was first realized as a recurring segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon before being developed into a separate show.
